It is 1968, the Prague Spring and a brief amnesty of hope in the east while the west revels in the summer of love. Two silent monochrome figures come out of the shadows, spiritual partisans, they've found each other in the solidarity of suffering that throws lives together and now threatens to tear them apart.
Based on the true story of Anton Casta's dramatic escape, capture, and show trial as a 'Vatican spy" and Helena Barekova's richocette of survival between German occupation and Russian "liberation".

House rubble falls in rhythmic cacophonic tones.
An upwelling of dust, like a ghost, turns the world pale.
All that matters is life. And love. And breathing.
Helena Coughs!
The third movement of life's eternal symphony is being played in that living room. Now as the old clock winds down towards stillness and silence. Without warning. Without permission.
This full length feature screenplay is currenlty under development.
